May I just say that Craigslist rocks

A few days ago I was thinking to myself ‘hmm, I’m going to need some help” & posted a couple of ads on Craigslist just to see what would turn up. I found

1) a sample size model, so I can actually put the gowns I’m making for photo shoots on an actual person to see how they fit

2) a fit model for production patterns

3) a possible sewing contractor in Denver

and last but certainly not least

4) a marketing person. who has done fashion journalism. and actually knows what she’s talking about. and is excited to be working on ‘something fun’. yeehaw.

I don’t even know what all I’m going to be having her doing, but I’m excited beyond words to have someone helping me to at least write, if not go out & about on the internet & do some actual marketing.

Craigslist just kicks butt.

  1. Craigslist does indeed rock. I needed some help a few weeks ago, and was able to find a person to do some library reserach for me by posting on Craigslist. Turned out well!

Awesome sewing room Mimi, I’ve got studio-lust. 🙂 I’ve only got 1/2 your kid number & I still can’t find the time to sew for myself. I’m hoping that bringing in this new sewing contractor for the business will free up some time for me to become friends with my stash again. (not that not having time to sew keeps me from increasing my stash!)

Congrats on CL success! I’ve also had some good experiences, there, too. Incidentally, I’m developing a campaign to attract fitting models for my workshop, too.

    Continued success, shoogah!!

Try modelmayhem.com & one model place. You have to sort through the porn wannabees, but there’s some professionals on there as well.

I’ll come up & we’ll do coffee sometime when I have time to breath. Have you heard any buzz about fashiondenver 08?
